oh! perhaps he's a prison inmate who was fed up with the consequences of dropping his soap in the shower.. You know, like how butterflies have designs that look like eyes on their wings to deter birds from eating them.
It would be totally excellent if this guy had a really hairy back and the bear was actually covered in fur. I can also imagine the fun giving piggyback rides to little kids....
